Setting the Record Straight
The 2007 New England Patriots have just completed a phenomenal regular season. In 2007, the team and individuals on the team set many new NFL records (they also tied many records and set many franchise records). The NFL records set by the New England Patriots in 2007 include:
- Wins in a single regular season — 16 (third team to have an unbeaten season but first team to have a unbeaten 16 game season)
- Consecutive regular-season wins — 19 (and still counting)
- Total points in a season — 589
- Single season record for touchdowns by a team — 75
- Single season record for TD passes — 50 for Tom Brady
- Single season record for touchdown receptions — 23 for Randy Moss
- Single season record for touchdowns between a passer and receiver — 23 Tom Brady and Randy Moss
