A few days ago the Celtics did something that they had not done in the playoffs - they lost at home. Last night they continued their walk on the wild side by again doing something they had not done in these playoffs - they won on the road defeating the Detroit Pistons 94-80.

The Celtics road win puts them back in control and in a good position for the rest of the playoffs. The worst they can do is come back from Detroit tied 2-all, a decidedly better fate then if they had lost last night…

Can Djokovic or Federer Chase Down Nadal at the French Open?

Filed under: Tennis — admin at 2:01 pm on Sunday, May 25, 2008
Rafael Nadal has never, ever lost a best-of-five set match on clay. Never. The Spaniard has a perfect 34-0 mark in his career in best of five matches on the dirt, but that fact is not the only reason I’m making him my pick to win a fourth straight French Open.

Filed under: Uncategorized, About every sport — admin at 2:42 pm on Friday, May 23, 2008

The answer is most probably yes. Detroit managed to do something that no other team has done to the Celtics during the playoffs. They beat them at the TD Banknorth Garden. Now for the Celtics to take the Eastern Conference Finals they need to do something they have yet to do in these playoffs - win on the road. It is starting to look like Detroit in 6 or 7.

A lesson that the Celtics should take from the New England Patriots. The regular season accomplishments become meaningless if you do not win in the playoffs…
