First reaction after the Tsonga - Nadal semi? Wow. That’s pretty much all there is to say. Little Ali just blew Rafa off the court out there, which I expected might have happened for one set, but surely not three straight sets. And let’s be honest, Nadal was definitely not playing a poor match by [...]

Giants and Patriots - No Strangers Here?

Filed under: Uncategorized, About every sport — admin at 3:19 pm on Wednesday, January 23, 2008

For the New York Giants and New England Patriots it has been a season of endings.

  • The two teams ended the preseason playing each other. The Patriots won that contest 27 to 20.
  • The two teams ended the regular season playing each other. That game was a 38 to 35 victory for the Patriots. It was also the most points scored against the Patriots all season.
  • The two teams will end the playoffs together in the Super Bowl completing the symmetry.

Given the history between these two teams the latest line on the game (Patriots favored by 12) makes no sense at all. If you are a betting person take the Giants and the points. It should also be remembered that the Patriots have a history of winning Super Bowls by 3 points.

Super Bowl XLII will be won by 7 points or less…
